Our Values

The Autopsy Assistantship Program bases its educational and practical processes on universal ethical standards, scientific integrity, respect for human rights, and a strong sense of social responsibility.

Commitment to Ethical Principles: Respect for the sanctity of life and death is fundamental in all educational and professional practices. The program operates in accordance with the principles of confidentiality, impartiality, honesty, and respect for human dignity. Students are expected to develop professional ethics and responsibility in all aspects of forensic medicine practice.

Scientific Approach, Research, and Lifelong Learning: The program aims to cultivate individuals who embrace evidence-based practice, think critically, and demonstrate innovative problem-solving skills. Continuous education and professional development are emphasized to ensure that students are well prepared to meet both present and future needs of the forensic field.

Respect for Human Rights and Dignity: Protecting individual privacy during autopsy procedures and treating every person equally, fairly, and respectfully—regardless of life or death status—constitute the core ethical principles of the program.

Precision, Diligence, and Reliability: Autopsy practice is one of the most critical components of the judicial process. Therefore, high attention to detail, meticulousness, and accuracy are indispensable. The program adopts a practice-oriented educational model that emphasizes professionalism, reliability, and technical excellence.

Teamwork, Communication, and Collaboration: Forensic medicine is inherently interdisciplinary. The program aims to train students who can communicate effectively with prosecutors, forensic specialists, law enforcement officers, and healthcare professionals; who demonstrate teamwork skills; and who willingly share responsibilities in joint operations.

Social Awareness and Sense of Justice: One of the fundamental values of the program is to cultivate socially responsible professionals who contribute to strengthening public trust in the justice system, help elucidate suspicious deaths using scientific methods, and uphold ethical, moral, and judicial integrity in all professional actions.
