Scientific Research Projects Commission (IZTU-BAP)
The Izmir Tınaztepe University Scientific Research Projects Commission (IZTU-BAP) was established to contribute to achieving the university’s R&D Policy objective of “contributing to societal development through scientific research and innovative studies, and representing our country in the international scientific arena.” The IZTU-BAP Directive was approved by the Senate on 21 October 2025, decision no. 25/12.
IZTU-BAP is structured to support ethical, transparent and academically rigorous research primarily in the fields of health and life sciences and in other priority areas defined by our university. Its goals include strengthening information sharing through national and international collaborations, promoting multidisciplinary research teams, supporting young researchers to foster a research culture, continuously enhancing research infrastructure, and developing projects within the framework of sustainability principles.
The Commission evaluates, approves, supports, monitors and follows the progress of project proposals submitted by IZTU faculty members and researchers who hold a completed PhD, medical specialty or dentistry specialty degree.
Commission members are appointed by the IZTU Rectorate from among faculty members who have successfully conducted national and international scientific projects in accordance with the principles defined in the relevant directive.
