Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit (IZTU-BAP)

The Izmir Tınaztepe University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit (IZTU-BAP) was established to contribute to achieving the goal defined within the university’s Research and Development Policy: “to contribute to the development of society through scientific research and innovative studies and to represent our country in the international scientific community.” The IZTU-BAP Directive was approved by the Senate Decision dated October 21, 2025 (No: 25/12).

IZTU-BAP has been structured to support scientific research primarily in health and life sciences, as well as in other priority areas identified by the university. Within this framework, the unit aims to conduct research based on ethical principles, academic integrity, and transparency; strengthen knowledge exchange through national and international collaborations; encourage multidisciplinary research teams; support young researchers and promote a strong research culture; continuously improve research infrastructure; and develop projects in line with sustainability principles.

The Scientific Research Projects Commission has been established to evaluate, approve, support, oversee, and monitor the outcomes of project proposals submitted by IZTU faculty members and researchers who have completed their PhD degree or specialization in medicine or dentistry and are currently working at the university.

Commission members are appointed by the Rectorate of Izmir Tınaztepe University from among faculty members who have successfully completed national and international scientific projects as principal investigators, in accordance with the principles defined in the relevant directive.
