The Audiometry Program at İzmir Tınaztepe University's School of Health Services aims to train qualified healthcare technicians equipped with the knowledge and skills required by today's era to assess the hearing and balance systems.

In this field, which is crucial for protecting hearing health, early diagnosis of hearing loss, and improving individuals' quality of life, our students receive a robust theoretical and practical education.

Program Purpose

Our Audiometry Program aims to train healthcare technicians who possess fundamental knowledge and skills in hearing tests, audiological measurements, hearing aid fitting, and balance assessments, adhere to ethical values, possess strong communication skills, and possess a strong technological understanding.

With the opportunity to practice in affiliated hospitals, our modernly equipped classrooms, and our expert academic staff, we provide our students with the best possible preparation for their professional lives.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples 

Graduates of the Audiometry Program can find employment in: public hospitals (state hospitals and training and research hospitals affiliated with the Ministry of Health), university hospitals, private hospitals, ear, nose and throat clinics, hearing evaluation and rehabilitation centers, hearing aid sales and application centers, private audiology clinics and hearing laboratories, occupational health and safety units (they can work especially in noise-induced hearing loss evaluations.

Students who graduate from the Audiometry program can transfer to undergraduate programs in Audiology, Speech and Language Therapy, Special Education Teaching, Physics, Health Management, and Physics Engineering with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
