Purpose and Objectives

The fundamental aims of the Department of Audiology are to train students as competent professionals in the field:
- Diagnostic and Rehabilitation Competence: Fully equipping students with current diagnostic, measurement, and rehabilitation skills for hearing, balance, speech, and communication processes.
- Scientific Thinking: Establishing evidence-based and scientific thinking skills in audiological assessment and clinical decision-making processes.
- Professional Responsibility: Training audiologists who embrace multidisciplinary collaboration, possess ethical values, and carry high professional responsibility.
- Societal Response: Graduating qualified and well-equipped professionals who can respond to the needs of the national healthcare system and society.
Objectives
Our primary objectives to achieve the stated aims are as follows:
- Strengthening Clinical Skills: Enhancing students' skills in the application, interpretation of audiological tests, and accurate clinical reporting to the highest level.
- Technological Proficiency: Ensuring students' practical competence by introducing current audiological advanced tests, hearing aids, cochlear implants, and vestibular assessment technologies.
- Special Population Expertise: Teaching specific audiological and rehabilitative approaches for pediatric (child) and geriatric (elderly) populations.
- Research Culture: Fostering a research culture in students, encouraging active participation in scientific projects and contributing to knowledge production.
- Counseling and Ethics: Developing health communication, counseling, and ethical awareness skills, ensuring that graduates enter professional life fully prepared.
