Program Outcomes

  1. Performs the duties, authorities, roles, and responsibilities of the midwifery profession with the awareness of a professional practitioner.
  2. Performs midwifery practices in accordance with professional competence, ethical principles and standards, and evidence-based current information, with respect for human rights and tolerance.
  3. Protects the rights of women and newborns in midwifery care, determines service needs by taking into account the cultural characteristics of individuals, families and society with a holistic approach, and can provide the necessary services.
  4. Performs midwifery practices within the framework of theories/models, professional laws, regulations, and legislation.
  5. Embraces learning and teaching as a professional responsibility, acting as a leader and role model for colleagues, midwifery students, and the community in midwifery practices.
  6. Using the knowledge and skills acquired, they can identify risky situations, solve problems, think critically, and develop and implement solutions by embracing the importance of lifelong learning.
  7. Culturally equipped, highly confident, and aware of global and social changes, they participate in social and community activities.
  8. They become innovative by conducting scientific research and/or interpreting its results, organizing/participating in activities that contribute to the professional development of midwifery.
  9. They collaborate with national/international professional organizations, non-governmental organizations, and institutions that support the development of the midwifery profession.
  10. As a member of the healthcare team, they perform midwifery practices using multidisciplinary approaches.
