Department of Periodontology

Periodontology Department examines the soft and hard tissues around the teeth and dental implants physiologically and histologically, and deals with the the maintenance of these structures by treating the pathologies associated with them. Oral hygiene education, non-surgical periodontal treatments, flap operations are among the treatments applied to prolong the survival of teeth in the mouth by preventing the destruction caused by gingival diseases. In addition, the treatment of gingival recessions, dental implant applications, dentine hypersensitivity treatments, applying periodontal splints, gingivectomy, gingivoplasty, frenulum operations, biomaterial applications, soft and hard tissue graft operations are included in the scope of the Department of Periodontology.
