Anesthesia Program

The rapid advancements in science and technology have found direct reflection in the field of healthcare, and anesthesia has become one of the disciplines that benefit the most from these developments. The monitoring of patients’ vital signs during surgery through high-technology devices significantly enhances patient safety. However, the accurate interpretation of these data and the timely implementation of necessary interventions require the training of qualified and competent anesthesia technicians.

With this purpose, İzmir Tınaztepe University, in line with its vision, mission, and core values, has established the Anesthesia Program, which aims to train highly qualified healthcare professionals.

The Anesthesia Program, offered under the Vocational School of Health Services at İzmir Tınaztepe University, is a two-year associate degree program. The program aims to train anesthesia technicians who can perform preoperative patient preparation, assist the anesthesiologist during surgery by monitoring the patient’s vital parameters, and take responsibility for postoperative patient care and supervision. The program also aims to ensure that students graduate as healthcare professionals equipped with contemporary knowledge and skills, who understand the importance of teamwork, adhere to ethical values, and are research-oriented and committed to lifelong learning.

İzmir Tınaztepe University is a “student-oriented and health-focused” higher education institution. The university offers students extensive practical training opportunities in hospitals with high patient capacity that operate within the Tınaztepe Health Group.

In addition to theoretical courses delivered by expert academic staff, practical training is conducted in the professional skills laboratory and operating room practice areas. Thus, students gain professional experience before graduation and are well prepared for their future careers.
