As the İZTÜ Galen Research Center, our vision is to become a center of scientific excellence in life sciences and health, achieving groundbreaking national and international research. Our goal is to carry the legacy of Bergama-born Galen into the present by creating innovative solutions in health, conducting multidisciplinary research, and contributing to public health.
We aim to undertake pioneering studies using the latest biotechnological approaches and advanced research infrastructure to prevent diseases, enhance early diagnosis and treatment processes, and provide personalized health solutions.
Mission
Our mission is to create an ecosystem that integrates science, technology, and education to generate innovative, groundbreaking, and sustainable solutions in health sciences.
Specifically, we:
- Conduct pioneering research in personalized medicine and biotechnology to improve disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
- Implement interdisciplinary studies in genetics, molecular biology, biotechnology, and pharmacology to introduce new technologies and therapeutic methods to the healthcare sector.
- Collaborate with İZTÜ academic staff, national and international scientists, and industry partners to develop innovative projects and strengthen Turkey’s R&D capacity in health.
- Train researchers at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels, guiding future scientists in their academic and professional careers.
- Produce socially beneficial solutions and support the development of next-generation biotechnological products through collaborations with industry, government, and academia.
