IZTU Intellectual Property Management and Commercialization

Under IZTU Intellectual Property Management and Commercialization, our Coordination Office provides the following support:

University–Industry Collaboration

Within our objectives to enhance regional, national and international collaborations for R&D, innovation and commercialization, our unit acts as a support mechanism for industry-driven R&D and technology-based projects as well as university-initiated research projects conducted in collaboration with industry partners.

Efforts are ongoing to develop collaborations with regulatory bodies and Technology Transfer Offices to strengthen the university’s potential for participation in regional clusters, health innovation initiatives and cooperative platforms.

Intellectual Property Rights

The unit conducts awareness-raising and screening activities to protect knowledge and inventions produced within the university under intellectual property rights (copyrights, utility models, patents, etc.). It also carries out technology valuation and portfolio development processes to promote the commercialization of these intellectual properties.

Entrepreneurship

As an active stakeholder of the national and international entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem, our unit supports university-based company formation and technology-driven entrepreneurship. We facilitate access to seed and growth funding programs and provide mentorship opportunities for entrepreneurial candidates.
