MEDEK stands for the Vocational Education Evaluation and Accreditation Association. Founded in 2021, the association was granted accreditation authority by the Higher Education Quality Council (YÖKAK) in 2023 for 83 vocational college programs.
Purpose of Establishment
MEDEK was established to ensure that vocational school programs are evaluated for compliance with established standards, quality criteria, and performance benchmarks. The association works to contribute to the development of a qualified workforce within the framework of Turkey's strategic development plans.
Mission
To contribute to the improvement of education and teaching quality by providing information, external evaluation, and accreditation services for associate degree programs.
Vision
To be a pioneering organization that certifies the quality of associate degree programs by defining their educational, research, and administrative processes, as well as the quality of their intermediate human resources, in accordance with national and international standards, and sharing the results with relevant institutions and organizations.
